Weight reduced by successful bariatric surgery of a 250 kg patient
Doctors of Apex Hospitals have succeeded in reducing the weight of a 35-year-old man from Panipat weighing 250 kg by performing a successful bariatric surgery. Bariatric surgery was done on the patient through a telescope under the guidance of bariatric, robotic, and laparoscopic surgeons Dr. Rajnish and Dr. M.M. Vyas. In the operation done through a telescope, five holes were made in the patient's body and after keeping him in the hospital for seven days, the patient was discharged. After this, within a month, the patient's weight was reduced by 25 kg. Dr. Rajnish said that in the treatment of this patient suffering from sleeve gastrectomy, surgery is done by making a small cut in the food part of the stomach. Weight reduces rapidly in the first six years and remains reduced for the next two years. After this, by adopting a routine, weight can be controlled for the future as well. Robotic and Bariatric Surgery Coordinator Vishnu Saini and the team said that all kinds of stomach-related diseases are treated in the hospital using the latest methods, which include various other methods including robotic surgery.
