The 8th edition of TiE Smashup, happening on September 27th and 28th in Jaipur, is set to be a major event for Rajasthan’s startup scene. Dr. Sheenu Jhawar’s vision for this event is to connect startups with investors, opening up exciting opportunities for growth and development. With support from the State’s Department of Information Technology’s i-Start program, it promises to boost innovation and entrepreneurship across Rajasthan.

At the poster unveiling ceremony, Dr. Jhawar expressed her pride in the great response from entrepreneurs, with over 400 startups from 40+ cities and 15 states signing up. She highlighted that TiE Smashup focuses on nurturing promising startups, and this year, 41 of them will pitch their ideas to 27 angel investors from India and abroad. These startups will also get valuable mentorship from top industry leaders like OfBusiness, Star Agri, and Miniminds to help them succeed.

Archana Singh, Secretary of the Department of Information Technology, praised how TiE Smashup aligns with the government’s goal of creating a strong startup ecosystem in Rajasthan. She acknowledged Dr. Jhawar’s leadership in making this initiative successful. With support from partners like S.K. Finance, NIBS, PwC, and Bachhraj, the event is set to take Rajasthan’s entrepreneurial community to the next level.
