Marking a significant milestone in advanced orthopaedic care, Apex Skyline Hospital, Jhunjhunu, has launched the region's first orthopaedic robotic system, bringing world-class robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery closer to the people of Jhunjhunu and the Shekhawati region.
The robotic system was inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma in the presence of several distinguished guests, healthcare professionals, and community leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kundan Sen, Senior Joint Replacement and Orthopaedic Surgeon, highlighted that robotic-assisted technology enables surgeons to perform knee replacement procedures with enhanced precision and accuracy. The system assists in detailed pre-operative planning and real-time intraoperative guidance, helping achieve better implant positioning while preserving healthy bone and soft tissue.
Dr. Sen added that the introduction of robotic technology will allow patients in Jhunjhunu and nearby districts to access advanced orthopaedic care without having to travel to metropolitan cities such as Jaipur or Delhi. The hospital aims to make cutting-edge healthcare more accessible to the communities it serves.
Robotic-assisted knee replacement offers several patient benefits, including greater surgical precision, improved implant alignment, reduced tissue trauma, better joint function, faster recovery, and an earlier return to daily activities.
The launch of the orthopaedic robotic system reflects Apex Hospitals' continued commitment to adopting advanced medical technologies and delivering high-quality, patient-centric care across Rajasthan.
