Dr. Sachin Jhawar, Director of Apex Hospitals, officially launched his third book, "Shubh Din: Ek Safar," on Friday in a ceremonial event held in Jaipur. The book is a continuation of his previous two editions that reflect on life experiences, values, and the emotional journey within the healthcare sector.
The launch event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Apex Hospitals Chairman Dr. S.B. Jhawar, former SMS Hospital Superintendent Dr. Narpat Singh Shekhawat, and retired IPS officer Mahendra Singh Shekhawat. Many well-wishers, medical professionals, and literary enthusiasts also attended the event to extend their congratulations.
During his address, Dr. Sachin Jhawar highlighted a significant shift in perspective, saying, “The time has come to move beyond IQ and focus on EQ (Emotional Quotient).” He explained that the third edition of Shubh Din centres around how empathy, compassion, and humanity can be integrated into the healthcare environment, especially in spaces where people come not by choice, but out of necessity.
Reflecting on his inspiration, Dr. Jhawar shared that the COVID-19 pandemic brought forth deep personal and professional insights, which led to the creation of his first book, "Shubh Din" last year. Following an encouraging response from readers, he published the second edition, and now, the third one explores the emotional side of caregiving in the medical field.
What makes this initiative even more meaningful is that all proceeds from the book will be donated to charitable causes in the medical sector, including nurse and paramedical conferences.
Dr. Sachin Jhawar is known to many of us as a skilled laparoscopic and bariatric surgeon, but he is also a leader and someone who always looks to bring new ideas to help people. Trained in the UK, France, and the US, he has introduced several firsts in Rajasthan, including laparoscopic hernia surgery and gastric banding.
