Apex Hospitals Organises Blood Donation Drive on the Eve of International Nurses Day
16th May, 2026
Apex Hospitals, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur, organised a blood donation drive on the eve of International Nurses Day to promote voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about its vital role in saving lives. The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Anil Saini, Medical Officer In-charge, Blood Bank, with enthusiastic participation from hospital staff, volunteers, and donors.
The blood donation camp aimed to encourage individuals to become regular blood donors while highlighting the importance of maintaining an adequate blood supply for patients requiring emergency care, major surgeries, trauma management, cancer treatment, and other critical medical conditions.
As part of the awareness initiative, experts also addressed several common misconceptions surrounding blood donation, including the belief that donating blood leads to weakness or long-term health issues. The team explained that healthy individuals can safely donate blood and that the body naturally replenishes the donated blood within a short period, making regular blood donation both safe and beneficial.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anil Saini emphasized that voluntary blood donation is a simple yet powerful act of compassion that can save multiple lives. He encouraged eligible individuals to donate blood regularly and help ensure the availability of safe blood for patients in need.
The blood donation drive reflects Apex Hospitals' continued commitment to community health, preventive healthcare, and social responsibility. Through such initiatives, the hospital strives to create greater awareness about voluntary blood donation and inspire more people to contribute to this life-saving cause.
