Apex Hospitals Extends Care Beyond Treatment with Post-Makar Sankranti Clean-Up Drive

Makar Sankranti fills the sky with color, energy, and kites. Once the celebrations fade, the festival leaves behind another reality: loose kite strings and thread scattered across the city. These remnants pose risks that most people don’t see immediately, injuries to birds, animals, and even pedestrians, especially two-wheelers navigating narrow streets. What looks like simple thread can easily become a genuine community hazard.

To address this, Apex Hospitals organized a post-festival clean-up drive in Malviya Nagar. Volunteers cleared leftover thread and festival waste from public spaces, a small but meaningful intervention that makes the environment safer. Healthy neighborhoods support well-being as much as diagnostics or medical care do. Public health starts with what we build, maintain, and protect outside the hospital.
